The Center of Socio-Cultural Programs «People IN» received the support of the Moscow Department of Labor and Social Protection of the population for the implementation of the project «Culture of Russian Sign language»
From autumn 2022 to summer 2023, the Center of Socio-cultural Programs «People IN», with the support of the Charity Foundation «Absolut-help», implemented the project «Culture of Russian sign language». It was aimed at helping children under the age of 18 with hearing impairment from families of hearing and non-hearing parents from Moscow and the Moscow region and their relatives. The project participants developed the expressiveness of Russian sign language through intra-family interaction. Three streams of groups perfected skills through acting and the secrets of acting.
In November, the Center of Socio-cultural Programs «People IN» became the winner of the grant competition for NGOs in the social sphere «Moscow is a good city» 2023.
Thanks to the grant support of the city, assistance will be provided to children under the age of 18 with hearing impairment in families of hearing and inaudible parents living or studying in Moscow. They will have the opportunity to develop expressive Russian sign language skills.
Meetings will be held from January 2024 weekly on Saturdays in groups of 8 children and 8 parents. In total, 12 meetings will be held within the framework of the project — four at the Slovo Museum (VDNH) and eight at the
Six groups will be organized from January to December 2024. The period of participation of one group in the project is 3 months.
