From March 13 to 14, St. Petersburg hosted an interregional inclusive training within the framework of the inclusive project «Multidimensional of Culture» organized by the Committee of Culture of the City of St. Petersburg and the Institute of Cultural Programs at the St. Petersburg House of Folk Art (37A Prilukskaya St.).
The project «Multidimensional of Culture» provides an opportunity for everyone to become a full participant of the cultural life of St. Petersburg, regardless of their physical health. Among the key tasks of the project: creating a comfortable cultural environment for all groups of visitors of cultural institutions, involving people with disabilities and their volunteer peers in the cultural environment of the city, organizing visits to cultural events in St. Petersburg, creating conditions for active interaction of project participants.
The inclusive team «People IN» conducted inclusive trainings, which were attended by about 100 people. The coaches of the team in an interactive form in simple and accessible language told the participants about disability, the principles of building comfortable communication and interaction.
The team «People IN» shared with the specialists of the cultural organizations of the city of St. Petersburg the experience of creating an accessible environment and conditions for comfortable communication.
As part of the implementation of inclusive trainings, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Autonomous Non-profit Organization Center of Socio-Cultural Programs «People IN» and the St. Petersburg State Budgetary Cultural and Leisure Institution House of Folk Art and Leisure
