A year ago, the Center of Socio-Cultural Programs «People IN» became the winner of the grant competition for NGOs in the social sphere «Moscow is a good City» 2023.

Thanks to the grant support of the city, the Center was able to implement the project «Culture of Russian sign language», and children under 18 with hearing impairment in families of hearing and inaudible parents had the opportunity to form expressive Russian sign language skills.

This knowledge and skills open up new horizons of communication and opportunities for integration into society for participants. The program includes intensive classes with qualified instructors, as well as interactive workshops that allow them not only to study, but also to socialize in a friendly atmosphere.

The final third stream of the project started this fall and is now in full swing. Meetings at the Museum of Slavic Writing «Slovo» at VDNH have already ended, and now participants are gathering at the I. D. Sytin museum-apartment on Tverskaya Street to work out exercises on staging a «beautiful gesture» together with mentors, reveal their style and learn how to express themselves through Russian sign language.

We are confident that the participants of the final stream, as well as their predecessors, will be inspired to new achievements thanks to this project.

Follow our news so as not to miss the final meeting, where everyone will be able to see what success the participants have achieved! Let’s create a world together where everyone can be heard!
