Music, invisible artists and the complete absence of light — the team of the Moscow inclusive creative project «Concert in the Dark. Inclusion» for the first time goes beyond the capital with five new concert programs with the support of the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives. «Сoncert in the dark. Inclusion» is a new project of the Moscow creative team of the Autonomous Non-profit organization «Center of Socio-Cultural Programs „People IN“», which began its development in 2020. This is the only such project in Russia. The unusual setting of which helps not just to hear, but to «see» the music.
Concerts take place in unusual conditions — in absolute darkness, in a specially equipped space. In 2024, unusual events will be held outside the capital for the first time: with the support of the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives, residents of St. Petersburg and Tula will be able to attend unique concerts.
The new repertoire of the project includes five programs: the romantic «It All Starts with Love…», poetry of the Russian diaspora «Memories of the Luxembourg Gardens», the love story of two young heroes «A Moment in Time», instrumental and dance melodies of Russian and foreign composers «In the Rhythm of the Heart» and a medley of Russian folk songs «Sing, Golden Rus'!» «Concert in the dark. Inclusion» is an inclusive product of the creative industry that allows you to «look» at the art world in a new way, as well as an example of a project implemented by a blind team. People with disabilities in it are active participants in the project in various roles. The main task set by the organizers is to break down the barriers between blind and seeing people.
The State Budgetary Institution of Culture of the city of Moscow «The State Museum — Cultural Center „Integration“ named after N. A. Ostrovsky» is the copyright holder of the project.
