To understand without words

The first level of the Program for the Development of communication skills with deaf and hard-of-hearing people in a cultural institution has been completed. The first 28 lucky ones have gained new superpower!

What was the Program about?

The Program lasted for three months and consisted of three modules. In modules 1 and 2 there were meetings for studying of communication skills and Sign language in online-format. Module 3 consisted of face-to-face lessons with professional actors of the theatre of deaf actors called «NEDOSLOV». In this module participants developed skills of practical interaction with the elements of acting.

What did the participants learn?

At the end of our Program each participant gained unique professional skills that will help themto understand people with hearing disabilities and «speak» the same languagewith them. They also received a certificate and a name in Sign language, which deaf tutorsmade up specially for them. Students also discovered the world of Sign song: at the ceremony to mark the completion of the Program, the participants performed a song in Russian Sign language.
