From September to December 2025, the Center for Socio-Cultural Programs «People IN» is implementing a new stage of practice «The Culture of Russian Sign Language». It will be a continuation of the previously conducted program «"for beginners» and will be aimed at in-depth development of expressive Russian sign language skills among deaf and hard-of-hearing children under 18 from families of hearing and hard-of-hearing parents in Moscow and the Moscow region.
The new program was created based on feedback from participants in the 2022−2023 pilot practice: over 50% of families showed great interest and willingness to join the meetings. 32 people will take part in the practice — 16 children and 16 parents. The meetings will be held in Moscow museums, which will give them a special cultural and creative value.
There are three directions for the participants:
Prose — I. D. Sytin’s Apartment Museum
Poem — Marina Tsvetaeva House Museum
Sign song —
Each group will attend 15 meetings for 1.5 hours once a week.
