The final solemn event of the Program «Act without barriers!» 2024 for participants with musculoskeletal disorders, mental disabilities and general diseases took place at the Center «My Career Center»!
Five teams presented the results of their work. The participants told how the idea of the project originated, what difficulties they had to face in the process of its implementation, and what the future fate of the product they was created.
Five socially significant projects were created during the Program «Act without Barriers!» 2024:
«VDNH Accessibility Map» — thanks to the project, low-mobility groups of the population will be able to choose affordable walking options, freely navigate the complex, which will allow them to diversify their leisure time and take a fresh look at one of the most popular public spaces in the city.
«PROvozmozhnosti» — people with musculoskeletal disorders who use a wheelchair can use videos with useful content, life hacks on everyday issues and adaptation to living conditions with physical disabilities.
«Important and Necessary» — is a series of videos dedicated to topical issues for young people with mental disabilities: personal hygiene, proper nutrition, dress code, financial literacy.
«Billiards for All» — is a project aimed at popularizing billiards as a professional sport among people with disabilities, showing that billiards is accessible to everyone. The competitions were held in two categories: wheelchair athletes and athletes with other forms of disability.
«Softy style» — is a project aimed at adopting the characteristics of their bodies by children and adolescents through the creation of a unique style of adaptive casual clothing. The problem of corset therapy, namely the unwillingness of children to wear corsets all the time, prompted the team to look at this socio-psychological problem in a different way, from the perspective of changing attitudes towards it through the prism of fashionable language and creativity.
The event was the final stage of the program «Act without Barriers!» 2024 for participants with musculoskeletal disorders, mental disabilities and general illnesses.
The program is implemented with the support of the Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Moscow in cooperation with the Moscow City Organization of the All-Russian Society of the Disabled.
The City Methodological Center for the socio-cultural integration of people with disabilities into the cultural life of Moscow participates in the implementation of the program as a methodological partner.
