The shifts of the International Volunteer Camp — 2023 have ended in Perm. This season, participants could get to one of 5 thematic shifts held from August 7 to September 10. Activists of the volunteer center «People IN» visited two shifts: the first, dedicated to the topic of volunteering in museum activities, and the fourth, dedicated to inclusive volunteering.
During this time, participants from different regions of Russia managed to feel like restorers, attend several excursions and, most importantly, gain skills in inclusive and museum work at interactive workshops and lectures. The shift participants learned how to make the cultural space accessible to different people and understand what kind of requests a person comes to museums with.
Within the framework of the program, the volunteers were addressed by experts in the field of inclusion, who told about the basic principles of building comfortable communication with people with disabilities and about the implementation of interesting socio-cultural projects and programs in the field of culture, as well as historians, restorers and ethnographers, who told the participants about the amazing traditions and features of the Perm Region.
The International Volunteer Camp 2023 was developed as part of the flagship events of the program «Volunteers of Culture», the national project «Culture» and the federal project «Creative People». The camp is organized by the Federal State Budgetary Cultural Institution «Center for Cultural Strategies and Project Management».
