On March 23, the second stream of the project «Culture of Russian sign language» starts. The project aims to develop the skills of expressive Russian sign language in children with hearing impairment through interaction with each other. This will help them to socialize more easily and adapt to the world of speaking and hearing people. The course is designed for children under the age of 18 with hearing impairment from families of hearing and inaudible parents from the Moscow region.
Six groups will be organized from January to December 2024. The period of participation of one group in the project is 3 months. It’s free. The first stream of the project started in January. Half of the meetings are already over. There are 4 meetings left before the end, and the organizers will sum up the results.
In the second stream, participants will have 12 exciting meetings in the museum spaces of the capital, filled with excursions and other activities. Through intra-family interaction, they will develop communication skills in Russian sign language with elements of acting. Tutors will accompany participants into the unique world of the Russian Sign Language and tell them about its basic rules, help make the gesture beautiful and more expressive.
