On 15th of October, a competition of projects of participants of the Program «Act without obstacles 2021» was held at the specialized employment center «My Career». 5 teams presented their projects on solving socially significant problems of the capital to the expert jury. The participants received feedback on the projects and recommendations for their further implementation.

The order of the teams performances at the competition was determined by drawing lots. The first work presented to the jury was the project of the information bureau «Visible Moscow». It is aimed at helping people who have lost their sight during their life, to facilitate their integration and involvement in urban activities. The second team presented the project «Walking in the Park», designed to improve the accessibility of the State museum-reserve «Tsaritsyno» for blind people. The third team presented the project «Ride with us, ride yourself». It is aimed at improving the quality of interaction of people with visual disabilities with the Moscow Metro Passenger Mobility Center. The fourth team presented the project «Social Art Elevator». It is designed to develop the potential of people with visual disabilities in the field of personal art therapy and art. The fifth team presented the project «Blind fashion» aimed at helping to maintain an attractive external image. The team plans to create a special platform for communication of people with visual disabilities with the professional community of stylists.

The competition commission included experts from various metropolitan organizations. The projects of the participants were evaluated by representatives of the Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the city of Moscow, the specialized employment center «My Career», the Moscow Metropolitan Governance Yury Luzhkov University, the Center for Passenger Mobility of the Moscow Metro, the main Bureau of Medical and Social Expertise for the city of Moscow of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation, the State Historical and Architectural Art and Landscape Museum-Reserve «Tsaritsyno» and the Moscow State University of Food Production. The general conclusion on the projects and parting words to the participants of the Program were delivered by Evgeniya Klimkovich, Director of Socio-Cultural Design, Associate Professor of the Department of Socio-Humanitarian Disciplines and History of Law at the the Moscow Metropolitan Governance Yury Luzhkov University. The final decision on supporting the team work of the participants will be made in the Moscow Department of All Russia Association of the Blind.

The project competition was the completion of the second stage of the «Act without Barriers!» program for people with visual disabilities. The program is implemented by Moscow Department of All Russia Association of the Blind (VOS) with the support of the Moscow Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.
