Another season of the project «Culture of Russian sign language» has come to an end

On November 23, meetings of the final stream of the project «Culture of Russian sign language» ended. It was aimed at developing expressive Russian sign language skills in children with hearing impairment through interaction with each other. This will help them to socialize more easily and adapt to the world of speaking and hearing people.

The course was designed for children under the age of 18 with hearing impairment from families of hearing and inaudible parents from the Moscow region.

During the project, the participants learned the history of Slavic writing, studied the basics of the Russian sign language, grammar and communication styles, understood the differences in the structure of Russian and Russian sign languages, trained the clarity of dactylation, learned to translate texts into sign language.

Children acquired communication skills in Russian sign language, communicating with each other and improved the skills of translating texts into sign language. The result of the meetings was a theatrical performance from the participants.

We note how important and inspiring this journey was with you. Each of you has made a unique contribution to the development of the project, and thanks to joint efforts we were able to create a space for the exchange of knowledge, thoughts and experiences.

We have seen how sign language is becoming not only a means of communication, but also a form of art, culture and unity.

Drawing a line under this stage, we look forward to new meetings and opportunities for development. We will be glad to continue our cooperation, opening new horizons and deepening knowledge about the culture of Russian sign language.

The project «Culture of Russian sign language» was implemented within the framework of the grant competition «Moscow is a good City» with the support of the Moscow Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.
