The project develops expressive Russian sign language skills that improve the quality of intra-family interaction, interaction with peers, the development of educational programs and programs for preparing for further educational activities, the socialization of deaf people in the world of hearing in children and youth with hearing disabilities in families of hearing and hearing parents.
The project focuses on the deeper involvement of parents (family members, legal representatives) in the development of communication skills and mastering the program, as well as the use of interactive forms of work practiced in the museum environment. The program is implemented on the territory of Moscow museums, the atmosphere of which creates an additional positive effect for the assimilation of the material.
The results are achieved through organized interaction within the family and group work involving hearing impaired specialists who are certified teachers and artists, as well as qualified translators of the Russian sign language. It is an effective tool for solving the problems of socio-cultural adaptation, socialization and integration of children and youth with hearing disabilities.
The pilot program of the Project was implemented with the grant support of the «Absolut-Help» Foundation in 2022−2023, which was subsequently updated in accordance with the recommendations and wishes of tutors and participants.
The development of methodological techniques of the Project Program was carried out with the grant support of the Moscow DTISZN «Moscow is a good city» in 2024.
